Olcay Öztanır graduated from Electrical & Electronics Department, Faculty of Engineering at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Türkiye and also completed his M.Sc. degree at the same department.
After working at a software company for two years, he joined TÜBİTAK BİLGEM where he continued his career as a researcher.

Throughout his duty, he worked in numerous EU projects starting with FP6 & FP7 through Horizon 2020 where he carried out both research and managerial tasks.

Mr. Öztanır recently worked for the establishment of the Cloud Computing and Big Data Laboratory of TÜBİTAK BİLGEM and in the management of Software Testing Laboratory.

He is currently performing as Deputy Director responsible for Mobility Technologies and is also Head of Robotics and Autonomous Systems Laboratory at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM.
