Sami Özge Arıoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1975. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Mining Engineering in 1998. After working as a field engineer at Yapı Merkezi İnşaat company for two years, he completed the Project Management Diploma Program at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2000. In 2001, at Purdue University Civil Engineering Department he received his master’s degree in ‘Construction Management and Engineering’. Sami Özge Arıoğlu is fluent in German and English.

After working for a short time at the American TBE Construction Company, he returned to Turkey and worked in many important positions within Yapı Merkezi Group. Throughout his business life, he has been actively involved in successful projects in various regions of the world such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia and North Africa, and has gained extensive experience especially in Construction Project Management, Tunnel Engineering, Railway System Engineering and Project Finance.

Sami Özge Arıoğlu, who is married and the father of two children, is currently a Member of the Board of Yapı Merkezi Holding and the Chairman of the Board of Yapı Merkezi İdis, the technology company of the group.
